Edinburgh

We got to Edinburgh with a little navigation trouble. Ross had a map and his phone which was acting up. My phone had a flat battery, we got to Leith House at last. It is not very flash would not advise anyone to stay. It was clean and central, but nothing more.
We were in Edinburgh to find somewhere to stay, but instead ended up being tourists.
So we visited the Royal Yacht Britannia on the first day. The tour was brilliant we got to see everything. Funny how the Royals live. Separate studies and bedrooms. We then walked the golden mile up to the Castle, but as it was late we did not go in.

The next day we did the tour of the firth of forth the weather was miserable so we did not get off at Inchholm, it did look great, so on the list for next time. This area the puffins nest. Ross saw some on the island going into their nests, which they return to every year, and are in burrows. Then l saw one just off the side of the boat fishing. I was so excited. It was to small for me to take a photo and the good camera was not set so we missed the photo. After the boat trip we returned to the castle and spent a few hours there. We did the free tour,  l learnt a bit. There is a chapel built for Mary who was married to one of the early Scots kings. When she died her son James built the chapel in 1033 in her memory. Amazing makes Australian architecture look young. Then we had dinner just down from the castle and l had Haggis balls (three, the same number of legs a haggis has😊) followed by smoked Scottish trout yummy.
